It all started with a conversation that was supposed to last thirty minutes. It did not.

After a simple check-in message, Manu and Misty jumped on a coffee chat and found themselves still talking long after the mugs went cold. The connection was immediate. They swapped dog stories and life stories, compared notes on client wins and headaches, and discovered they were solving the same problems from two different hemispheres.

Manu, German by birth and grounded in New Zealand for 18 years, has a quiet kind of magic that turns financial insight and operational structure into steady progress. She sees the story inside the numbers and the patterns within the process, bringing order, efficiency, and momentum to every business she touches. Misty, from the States, is a creative strategist with an operational mind and an artist’s heart. She transforms ideas into living, breathing brands, blending design, storytelling, and systems thinking to create experiences that feel intentional, human, and alive.

They started collaborating on a client project. Work flowed. Conversations routinely ran two hours because they were building and laughing and thinking out loud at the same time. Both kept seeing the same pattern repeat with almost every entrepreneur they supported: too many tools that did not talk to each other, too many spreadsheets for one brain, and too much time spent stitching together a view of the business instead of steering it.

On a tearful call where both of them felt the drag of distance, Manu said the wild part out loud: “What if you just come here?” Four days later the flight was booked. One week after that, Misty was on Manu’s couch in the middle of the New Zealand bush, staring at a mountain and marveling at the way a choice can rearrange a life. Time zones even stole a date from Misty’s calendar. October 8 did not exist. Totally worth it.

Misty’s design instinct breathed life into FOPSI, transforming Manu’s idea into something that feels human, spirited, and real. The dogs wandering in and out of frame.
